Subculture procedure: maintain cultures from 1x10E5 to 1x10E6 cells/mL. | Reference: | Eur. J. Immunol. 18: 97-104, 1988. | Additional Info: | XR63-IL5 cell line was derived from X63Ag-654 mouse myeloma. It was
transformed by modified pBV-1MTHA vector containing IL-5 cDNA
cloned by Kinashi et Al ( Nature, 1986. 324: 70 ). Transformants secrete
mouse IL-5 at 10 fold higher titres than those produced by
Concanavalin A stimulated 2.19 T cells, as judged by the proliferation
and maturation of B cell leukemia BCL1. Passible spontaneous
revertants should be eliminated by periodic culture of this cell line in
the presence of 1mg/mL Geneticin. | ATCC: | | Biosafety: | 01 |
