A split ratio of 1:3 to 1:6 is recommended. | Consigner: | ATCC, through Dr. Wanderley de Souza, Instituto de Biofisica,
UFRJ, Rio de Janeiro. | Reference: | J. Virol. 4: 549-553, 1969;
Cell 16: 63-75, 1979. | Additional Info: | The NIH/3T3, acontinous cell line of highly contact-inhibited cells was
established from NIH Swiss mouse embryo cultures. This cell line is
usefull for DNA transfection and transformation studies. These cells
are highly sensitive to sarcoma virus focus formation and leukemia
virus propagation. It has a tendency to acquire spontaneously the
transformed phenotype along protuded in vitro culture. | ATCC: | CRL 1658 | Biosafety: | 01 |
