Additional Info: | MOLT-4 is a suspension culture derived from peripheral blood of a 19-year-old
male with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in relapse. It is reportedly a stable T- cell
leukemia; the cells bind to sheep erytrocytes to form rosettes. High leves of terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT) activity is high.
Ig and EBV not detected. Hypertetraploid cell line, with reported 6q- and t(7;7). Also
i(17q) reported to some cells. Mutation at codon 248 of the gene p53 (G-->A). p53 is not expressed. May be distributed for research purposes. Not for commercial use |
