32,000 MW glicoprotein found on mononuclear phagocytes. This
antigen has been designated as Mac-2. Mac-2 ( and Mac-3 ), in contrast
to Mac-1, are not expressed on bone marrow cells. Thus, Mac-2 and
Mac-3 appear to be expressed on the monocytic line of differentiation
at some stage after divergence from granulocytic line, while Mac-1 is
found on both branches. Mac-2 and Mac-3 antibodies label 69% of
spleen cells and0-2% of thymocytes. Expression of sntigens is
increased during differentiation of monocytes to activated peritoneal
macrophages. | ATCC: | TIB 166 | Biosafety: | 01 |
