derived from a 5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine (BrdU) resistant strain of
L-M cell line. Biochemical and radioautographic studies indicate
that this cell line no longer incorporated exogenous Brdu into
cellular DNA and the enzyme thymidine kinase was lacking. No
inhibition of growth potential was detected during culture in medium
supplemented with 60 ug/mL BrdU, and these cellos exhibit their
sensivity to HAT medium. they are therefore useful in somatic cell
