Biological Sciences, Catholic University of Chile. | Reference: | Nature ( London ) 270: 725-727, 1977;
Science ( Washington, DC ) 230: 758-766, 1985. | Additional Info: | The C2C12 is a subclone derived by H. Blau, et al. from mouse myoblast cell line
established by D. Yaffe and O. Saxel from normal adult C3H mouse leg muscle.
The cell line differentiates rapidly and produces extensive contracting myotubes
expressing characteristic muscle proteins. The clone provides an excellent model
to study myogenesis in vitro and cell differentiation. May be distributed to scientific
institutions; not to distributed for any commercial use. | ATCC: | CRL-1772 | Biosafety: | 01 |
