Additional Info: 3T3-IL1 is a continuous strain of 3T3 ( Swiss albino ) developed through clonal isolation. Cells of this strain undergo a preadipose to adipose-like conversion as they progress from rapdly dividing to a confluent and contact inhibited state. A high serum content in the culture medium reportedly enhances the rapidity and degree of fat accumulation. The sample submitted to BCRJ did not undergo the preadipose to adipose conversion, under the conditions described in literature.
