Cell 3: 127, 1974. | Additional Info: | 3T3-IL1 is a continuous strain of 3T3 ( Swiss albino ) developed through
clonal isolation. Cells of this strain undergo a preadipose to
adipose-like conversion as they progress from rapdly dividing to a
confluent and contact inhibited state. A high serum content in the
culture medium reportedly enhances the rapidity and degree of fat
accumulation. The sample submitted to BCRJ did not undergo the
preadipose to adipose conversion, under the conditions described in
